How to Free Up Disk Space in Mac OS X

This is an ordinary situation for hundreds of computer users around the globe. Some people buy more hard drive space, some move files to cloud storages, and they are completely right. But there are few more ways to free up disk space on your Mac.

You can find a lot of tips and tutorials on how to free up space, so we will show you the most common of them.

Uninstall unneeded apps and letfovers:

  1. Download and install iDoctor.

  2. Click App Uninstaller and start the scanning process.

  3. Select the items that you want to remove.

iDoctor removes apps together with leftovers. If you will simply drag the unneded file to the Trash, IDoctor will suggest removing all related files that are located somewhere in system folders.

Remove duplicates:

There are 3 steps to remove duplicates with iDoctor:

  1. Download and install iDoctor.

  2. Click Duplicates Cleaner and start the scanning process.

  3. Select the items that you want to remove.

Remove caches, logs, and language files:

You can delete all of these files by using iDoctor’s Quick Cleaning feature. This feature allows you to remove unused language packages as well as cache and log files in just several clicks:

  1. Download and install iDoctor.

  2. Click Quick Cleaning and start scanning process.

  3. Select file types you want to remove and click Remove.
